    What is Cajun seasoning?

Well, you might have heard a lot about Cajun seasoning, but if you haven’t tried this tasty seasoning, you should really try out this! This toothsome seasoning evokes a special spark in your seasoning boil.  This exotic rustic seasoning has originated from Louisiana, which is basically the home of Cajun cuisine culture. Everybody adores their own favourite flavours, but the mix consisting of tons of cayenne, paprika, pepper, garlic powder and oregano is just next-level delicious. However, there are no other set rules that when it comes to this recipe, you can add any type of seasoning. Many people even love to include salt in their recipe, and the recipe turns out well. You can add your salt separately if you want to; just leave the salt while cooking the recipe.

What is the proper way to peel shrimp?

So, it’s really easy to peel away the skin of shrimps with this step by step process. If you cannot find the pre-peeled shrimps, you could remove the skin by peeling away the prime upper shell and legs with your hands and you can just pull the shell after that. However, keep the tail part so that you can have something to hold on to.

PREPARATIONS AND COOKING TIPS FOR YOUR CAJUN SEASONING RECIPE:

    CAJUN SEASONING RECIPE
    • You can use small-sized red potatoes and Yukon gold potatoes.
    • I would suggest you buy only large-sized shrimps for this recipe.
    • Sausages like kielbasa or Andouille are the best kind of sausages for the recipe. If you like the extra spice, then Andouille sausage will be the good choice for you. This sauce will increase the heat in your recipe.
    • There are numerous different types of seafood that can be used in this recipe. You can use chunks of fish, mussels, and scallops.
    • Just use fresh corn on the cob to get the best in your recipe. The colour of the cob does not matter!
    • You could even include Dungeness crab legs and Maine lobster tails in your recipe. However, different varieties such as snow crab, spiny lobster tail, and king crab are also welcomed.
    • You have to check your potatoes by poking them with a fork or toothpick and see if they are wholly cooked. If it can be easily pierced, your recipe is going on point.
    • Make sure you get rid of all the clams that are closed prior you serve your dish.
    • You can include the peeled or shell-on shrimps for this. Till now, I have used peeled shrimps for my recipe, and these are very tasty to eat.
    • I would suggest you to serve your dish quickly after cooking it. Seafood has the best aroma and flavour when it is freshly cooked and warm.
    • Make sure you don’t overcook the seafood as overcooked seafood tastes firm and rubbery.
    • If you want the best results, I will suggest you use fresh seafood. Get your seafood the same day you are going to cook your recipe. However, if you are not able to find fresh seafood, you can use frozen seafood.
    • You can get rid of the shrimp shell before cooking the dish.
