Pressure Cooker Brown Rice Recipe

This is a very simple and step-by-step recipe for pressure cooker brown rice. Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • salt
  • 2 cups Water

Method
 

  1. Rinse the brown rice very well under running water. Pour 1 cup of washed rice into the pressure cooker along with two cups of water.
  2. Cover the pressure cooker. Cook the brown rice on medium-high heat in the pressure cooker and turn the heat flame to low after 3 to 4 whistles. Simmer the rice for about five minutes; after, turn the heat flame to low heat.
  3. Turn off the heat after five minutes and give NPR to rice. Brown rice usually takes a little longer time to get cooked than white rice, hence have some patience and allow the complete pressure to release naturally; afterward, open the cooker and serve.
