Ingredients
Method
- First of all, prepare the proper pizza dough, which should be soft and stretchable.
- After that keep pizza stone in the oven and prepare the oven by preheating it to 500°F.
- To make the cheese: Slice the mozzarella cheese into 1/4 inch thick pieces. Sometimes the fresh mozzarella is very watery (it can depend on the brands too). You can use a paper towel to discard most of its moisture; you should do this process for 15 minutes afterward. Dab the mozzarella by using the paper towel to discard any extra moisture.
- To bake the pizza: Dust a pizza peel by using cornmeal or semolina flour when the oven gets ready. (You can utilize a rimless baking sheet if you don’t have a pizza peel. Yet I would suggest you, spending a penny on pizza peel is a worthy investment!) After that, roll out the dough into a circle; and softly keep the dough onto the pizza peel.
- Using the back of a spoon to create a thin layer, roll out the pizza sauce on the dough. Now mix the mozzarella cheese. Drizzle up some kosher salt.
- In order to carefully transfer the pizza on the heated pizza stone, make use of pizza peel. Keep baking the pizza for about 5 to 7 minutes in the oven, until the cheese and crust get a lovely brown shade.
- Drop the spoonful of basil pesto. Cut it into pieces and serve it nicely!
