Method
- Get oven ready by preheating it to 325°F.
- Take a rimmed baking dish or big sized roasting pan and stream 1 cup of water in it.
- Keep the ham cut side down inside the baking dish or pan.
- Blend all the leftover honey glaze ingredients. Take 1/3 of the glaze and coat the ham by it; glaze well between the slices.
- Get some foil and cover up the pan with ham it.
- Bake ham for 10 to 13 minutes at 325°F per pound; the inner temperature should read 105°F in the center. You can even eat the ham while cold or when it is warm with the inner temperature of 105°F.
- Take out the ham from the oven. Take out the foil coverage. Drizzle up the juice on the ham and coat it well; also coat between the slices.
- Now, get the oven ready by preheating it to 400°F.
- Take out three tablespoons of glaze blend and keep it aside to use later. Take a small saucepan and heat up leftover honey sugar glaze on the stovetop until it is soft enough to spread on ham.
- Brush up ham with honey glaze nicely, give many coats. Come back to the oven, and keep it uncovered.
- Bake the ham for 10-30 minutes, the center part of the ham should read 130°F when the thermometer is inserted.
- Get the foil and lightly cover it; give it a rest of 15 minutes before serving.
