Simple Goulash Recipe with Ground Beef

Though this recipe might sound very simple, trust me, it tastes amazingly delicious. This soulful one-pot meal could be prepared with simple ingredients. This hearty recipe will remind you of all those classic, old-fashioned goulash recipes with ground beef cooked by your grandma, and it will never fail to delight your mood on busy weekends!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium-sized Yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ cup, (uncooked) Elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 (15-oz.) Can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15-oz.) Can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 ¼ cup low sodium beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • Freshly chopped parsley To garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat up some oil in a large-sized skillet on medium heat flame. Pour onion and cook it till it becomes soft, for 5 minutes. Pour the garlic and cook it for 1 minute, or to the point it becomes fragrant.
  • Pour ground beef and cook it for 6 minutes or until all pinkish tint is diminished. Drain all the fat and keep it in the pan. Use some salt and pepper to season it.
  • Mix some tomato paste into it and stir well to coat, then stream some tomato sauce, broth and diced tomatoes. Use paprika and Italian seasoning to season it, and stir in some macaroni. Simmer it and keep cooking, stir it at regular intervals, for 15 minutes or to the point pasta becomes tender and soft.
  • Add some cheese and take it out from the heat source.
  • Drizzle up some parsley before serving the dish.
