Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 3/4 pound Bulk pork sausage
  • 3 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
  • 2 cans (6 ounces each) Tomato paste
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 3 large sized Eggs
  • 3 tablespoons, minced Fresh parsley
  • 3 cups 4% Small-curd cottage cheese
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 9 cooked and well-drained Lasagna noodles
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • 3 cups Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Take a large-sized skillet and keep it on medium heat flame. Crumble beef and sausage, cook both together until no longer pink; drain it well. After that, pour the next seven ingredients. Give a light boil to it. Decrease the heat; simmer it, uncover it, and keep it for 1 hour, stir it at regular intervals. Add the seasonings along with the pepper and salt as per your taste.
  • Meanwhile, gently beat the eggs in a large-sized bowl. Pour some parsley; add the ricotta, cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  • Get the oven ready by preheating it to 375°. Take an ungreased baking dish of 13x9-inch and roll on 1 cup of meat sauce. Layer it with provolone cheese, noodles, 2 cups of cottage cheese blend, three noodles, 1 cup of mozzarella, 2 cups of meat sauce, 1 cup mozzarella and leftover cottage cheese mix. Also, pour the leftover noodles, mozzarella and meat sauce on it.
  • Cover it up and for 50 minutes, bake it well. After that, uncover it; bake it until it gets heated thoroughly, or for 20 minutes. Give it the rest of 15 minutes before slicing it.
