  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cups Chicken or vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil or olive oil
  • Fine sea salt for taste
  • 1/4 cups chili powder
  • 1/2 cups garlic powder

Instructions

  • First of all, cook the spices and roux. Take a small saucepan and heat up oil in it over a medium heat flame. Pour flour in it and again cook it for an extra 1 minute. Keep whisking it at regular intervals. Add up chili powder, cumin, oregano and garlic powder to it. Cook it for an additional one minute. Whisk it at regular intervals.
  • Gently stream the stock into it, whisk it consistently to blend, until no lumps are remaining. For some time, simmer the sauce. After that, decrease the heat flame to medium, to balance. Simmer it about ten to fifteen minutes, keep it uncovered. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Taste the sauce and add salt to it, as per your needs.
  • Serve the freshly prepared enchilada sauce with your tasty enchiladas, and enjoy!
