Some factors to consider for an excellent homemade spinach artichoke dip:

Can you use frozen spinach for spinach artichoke dip recipe?

Frozen chopped spinach is an ideal ingredient to prepare spinach artichoke dip, as it’s very convenient. First of all, defrost all the spinach leaves, and microwave them until adequately melted. However, make sure they are not much hot, as you should avoid overcooking. Always assure that you squeeze out complete moisture before using it. The frozen spinach could be defrosted overnight in the refrigerator.

Choose the correct kind of cheese

Many people prefer to use the combo of aged Parmesan cheese and high moisture mozzarella cheese. The mozzarella cheese evokes a vibrant and creamy texture in the dip and creates an excellent cheese pull. The Parmesan evokes an intense, salty and earthy flavour of nuts in the dip.

    Enhancing the artichoke flavor

Artichoke is the essential part of this recipe. You can use jarred or canned artichoke hearts that are cooked beforehand, so your whole recipe becomes very easy to make and quick. However, you should always choose the artichokes that are beforehand marinated in the sweetener, spices and vinegar as these things increase the intensity and deepness in the base of the dip. The ready-made chopped pieces can be more exposed to marinade and enhance the flavor in a deeper way. You can even cook fresh artichokes and eradicate the hearts before mixing with dip.

Should you use only fresh spinach for spinach artichoke dip?

Freshly cooked spinach is also an excellent option to cook this recipe on the other hand. You can also use baby spinach, which can yield almost a cup of product. Finely chop the baby spinach once it becomes a little cool to touch, and then mix it with the blend.

Here are some tips to get the perfect spinach artichoke dip:

The most essential and important part of this recipe is to make sure you eradicate all the liquid from your spinach which is cooked. You can squeeze the spinach by using your fingers to get rid of extra liquid or simply press it inside the potato ricer. Wrapping up the spinach in some layers of paper towels to soak up all the extra liquid wrap is also an excellent idea.

You should always use fresh spinach for this recipe, as freshly cooked spinach creates more tastes. Though you can use frozen spinach, frozen spinach harnesses a different texture in the dip than freshly cooked spinach.

Your dip will turn out with the best taste if you use jarred and marinated artichoke hearts. However, you can also use frozen artichokes and canned artichokes, but the taste is more delicious with the jarred artichoke hearts.
