    Purchasing a Perfect Jerky Gun

You can use a plastic jerky gun, but I would suggest using a metal jerky gun. As per my experience, the metal jerky gun works quite well as compared to the plastic one. The plastic jerky gun is a little hard to use even though it is quite cheaper, and it does not work like the metal jerky gun.

Yes, you can go ahead with your recipe without even using a jerky gun. However, I suggest you use the good quality jerky gun as your recipe will be much better. The jerky gun makes it easy to get even strips of beef, and it is a tough task to form even strips by hand, so it would be better if you use the jerky gun.

Best Homemade Beef Jerky Recipe Tips

Here are some amazing tips for incorporating into your beef jerky recipe to make it more delicious.

The most important and essential part of the recipe is to prepare the beef very well before marinating it. This is the most important part of the homemade beef jerky recipe. Also, it is a prerequisite step to get rid of excess fat, so your jerky will stay well at room temperature after baking. At room temperature, the small chunks of dried fat of the jerky are going to turn rancid.

Afterwards, you can “flash freeze” the beef for a long duration to make it even from outside, and it will make it easy for you to chop it into thin strips.

Marinade the strips into the seasoning after chopping them into 1/8 inch strips. Marinade them for at least two hours. Keep in mind that you should soak the beef for a longer period in the marinade as it will get a stronger flavour after a marinade of long hours.

Whenever I prepare the recipe, I marinate it for the whole night, so it gets seasoned well.

You can get some baking racks that can be set in oven pans so that you can bake the beef jerky properly. The rack will let the marinade and juices drip down slowly so your beef will be free of excess liquid. Also, make sure you taste the beef jerky to not stay in the oven for a long period.
